File>Set Up File
Select Create Hypertext Links
Click Set
File>Generate/Update

book, select the ___IX.fm document
Choose File > Set Up File
Select Create Hypertext Links
File>Generate/Update

Format
a hypertext cross reference
|
1.
Double click on the cross-reference text.
Result: The Cross-Reference Dialog opens.
2. Click Edit Format
3. Insert cursor at beginning of the format definition
4. In the building blocks scrolling list find and
select <Link>
Result: <Link>
is inserted in the definition
5. Click Change
6. Click Done
7. Verify that Internal Cross-Reference is selected
8. Click Update

Add Graphics for the Bars to the Master Pages
2. Open all the files in the book and make them editable
3. Paste the graphic (by pasting) into the master pages
4. Select View> Master Pages
5. Select Edit> Paste
6.Drag the graphic to position required
7. Using the graphics toolbar place as text frames
appropriately (selecting background for text radio button in the
dialog)
8. Click to select a text frame
9. Select Special > Hypertext and then choose appropriate command
from the Command Pop-Up Menu. Repeat this step as needed.
10. Drag a selection box around the graphics to select them together.
11. Select Graphics > Group to make them a single object
12. Select Edit > Copy and after scrolling to the other master page,
select Edit> Paste. If necessary, reposition the graphic.
13. Select View > Body Pages.
14. In order to test, in Hypertext dialog box click
Make View Only.
15. If you can't see the whole document, Choose Fit on Page from the
Zoom Popup menu.
Now test your graphic links!
16. Cut and paste the graphics to the master pages of all the books, as
desired.
17. Close the documents leaving the book window open. If prompted to
save, say yes.

Saving
as PDF
(Note: You must have distiller installed & you must have a post
script printer installed)

1.
Open your book
2. Select FIle>Save As
3. Navigate to folder where PDF should be located
4. Choose PDF from popup type menu
5. Name should be __.pdf
6. Click Save |
